Unless you have been living on a deserted island and just returned home, you are aware that the mortgage industry has pretty much fallen flat on its face. What does this mean? Well, for the time being the banks will be very tight and underwriters will pretty much require an act of congress to get your loan approved. Most of this is "knee-jerk" reactions caused by a slow down of bank to bank lending and high foreclosure numbers.
I expect this will improve over time, however, many are asking what does "over time" mean. is it 6weeks?, 6months?, 2 years?. No one really knows, however, if you want to buy a house and have a 550 credit score with no money to put down, I have some advice for you... Wake up, your dreaming.
